Fincantieri at “Full Speed” in America’s naval revival

Fincantieri hosted the event “Full Speed Ahead: The U.S. Shipbuilding Renaissance” on July 16 in Washington, D.C., gathering leaders from government, industry, and national security to strengthen its US presence by exporting its know-how and making strategic investments to rebuild the US naval industrial base.

Full speed. Wednesday’s event, opened by George Moutafis, newly appointed CEO of Fincantieri Marine Group (FMG), and Jan Allman, CEO of Fincantieri Marinette Marine, brought together experts such as Vice Adm. Rick Hunt, Dr Cynthia Cook, Hon. Russell Rumbaugh, and Dr. Stacie Pettyjohn.

  • It demonstrated the strengthening of collaboration between the US government, Fincantieri, and the world of institutions, defense industry, and think tanks.

What Folgiero said. Hosting the event in D.C., Pierroberto Folgiero, Ceo and Managing Director of Fincantieri, gave the closing remarks:

  • “This is a defining moment for American shipbuilding—and Fincantieri is here to stay. We are not just investing in infrastructure; we are investing in the future of maritime security, industrial innovation, and the skilled workforce that powers it,” the Fincantieri CEO said.
  • “With a new management team leading our U.S. operations, we are accelerating our commitment to deliver next-generation capabilities in full alignment with U.S. strategic priorities.”
